Obvious negative data show us there is no way anymore

Miracle data! I succeeded at an immunoprecipitation assay by only one trial, which was thought to be difficult to achieve appropriately. I realize that my research technique grew. As the result, I discovered that a protein that is supposed to bind to my target protein doesn't bind to it. One of my research theme is over now. Of course, it is not so great data because I cannot progress my theme anymore. It is rare that there appears obvious data that show us there is no way anymore, in which case, we will call it lucky.
