The research of long noncoding RNA just started

The research of long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) just started. Several lncRNAs that interact with a transcriptional protein were found, and the down regulation of these RNAs resulted in decrease of genes regulated by this protein. Thus, it is concluded that long noncoding RNAs regulate the cellular transcription. I feel it right. However, nobody knows the actual regulation mechanism of these lncRNAs. The research of lncRNA just started.
