Virology will reveal the host cell

 Virologists want to know not only about viruses but also about host. One of the most important purposes of virology is to elucidate how pathogens adapt to and utilize their host cells.  Some scientists consider that viruses are derived from the debris of ancient cells. Some scientists, in contrast, consider that viruses are the ancestor of cells. Anyway, the component of cells and viruses is basically same. Virology will ultimately reveal what creature is.
