Initial report of decreased SARS-CoV-2 viral load after inoculation with the BNT162b2 vaccine

In Israel, 1 million people were inoculated with BNT162b2 mRNA vaccine. For tracking the post-vaccination infections, qRT-PCR against SARS-CoV-2 E, N and RdRp genes were performed to these people. As the result, the Ct value for SARS-CoV-2 genes was found to be increased, which indicates that the viral load was decreased, 12-37 days after vaccination even at single dose. This decline of viral load may be a major contributor for the reduction of SARS-CoV-2 spreading.
