In COVID-19 sera, autoantibodies against various host proteins have been identified. These antibodies mostly recognize host immune-related factors including cytokines, chemokines, complement components as well as cell surface proteins. By using K-18 hACE2 Tg mouse model, it was demonstrated that treatment of antibodies against IFNAR, IL-18, IL1β, IL-21R and GM-CSF enhances the severity of SARS-CoV-2 infection.
