Susceptibility of ferrets, cats, dogs, and other domesticated animals to SARS-coronavirus 2

Dogs, pigs, chickens and ducks are not susceptible to SARS-CoV-2 infection. In contrast, ferrets and cats are permissive to infection. This information was published in April 2020, indicating that the data is derived from experiments using SARS-CoV-2 Wuhan type. The susceptibility of these animals for recently emerged variants is not clear and should be concerned.
