There is a big dinosaur museum in a snow
mountain. Although this country town, Katsuyama, is not famous in Japan, the
museum was much bigger than I expected. I saw many kinds of fossils of
dinosaurs. They have many fossils of endemic species of dinosaurs in Fukui
prefecture. In fact, there were many dinosaur models in the town.
The dinosaur museum is a dome-like
building, which mainly consists of three floors. The entrance of this museum is
at the top floor. People first go down from the entrance by an elevator, which
is like a time slip to go to the ancient times. Many fossils and models of
dinosaurs are exhibited in the bottom floor. In the second floor, there are
fossils of ancient mammals and marine animals. This construction is thought to
explain the flow of time. However, the strongest impact of dinosaur in the
bottom floor may make us forget everything later.
