To become an authority easily

To become a world authority on a scientific topic is not so difficult. To study a topic that no one cares will result in an authority on the topic. However, if no one cares the topic because it is not so important for people, we don't have to treat such topic. To be a useful scientists, we should choose topics that no one notices its importance whereas it is actually important.
