Difficulty and profit of studying large proteins

To study large proteins is difficult because it needs more time and labor to construct the expression vectors than that of small proteins. Even if they are constructed, the expression of large proteins is basically lower. In addition, the detection of large proteins needs some special techniques. However, there are many mysteries in such large proteins. I call that many treasures exist in them. The difficulty means that there are few researchers concerning the large proteins. There are few competitors in such research fields. If we establish a method to study a large protein, we will discover many things monopolistically.
