Researches from macro to micro

I used to study animals in the first period of my research carrier. Next, the research interest changed into cells of animals, and then I studied the nuclei that are located inside the cells, and subsequently my research interest moved to viruses themselves. Now I study a viral protein. My research field moves from macro to micro. I think this is the natural stream of biological scientists, how do you feel?
