When I read postdocs' blogs

Many Japanese postdocs have their own blogs such as composing articles regarding their life and science. I am also the one of them who create similar kind of blogs. I have been reading people's life, diverse lives, by visiting to several people's articles. A man is afraid of his future. Meanwhile, a man is performing hard works to reveal his dream that is to have his own laboratory. There are many postdocs who write their blogs in US. I feel familiar to them because of many common features among them including me. As a matter of course, Japanese people always have troubles in the start-up of their life in US. Although people don't get used to this country, they have many tasks to manage immediately after arriving at US, including a contract for apartment, procedures for using gas, water and electric power, and to buy a car. Because Japanese people usually don't have a good English skill at that period, it is severe to start a good living soon. But it is common that, after few months, people get used to living in this country without significant progression of their English skills. After finishing their start-up procedures, they lose themselves in their science. When I read a blog of a pessimist, I feel sad. In contrast, a blog of an positive person gives me an willingness to have more effort.
