Pathogenesis of SARS-CoV-2 in Transgenic Mice Expressing Human Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme 2

SARS-CoV-2 could infect HFH4-hACE2 mice, which express human angiotensin-converting enzyme 2, which is a receptor of SARS-CoV-2, with HFN4/FOXJ1 promoter specific manner. This mouse model highly expresses hACE2 in the lung, and  brain, liver, kidney and gastrointestinal tract at lower or variable levels. This mouse model is very useful to study the pathogenicity of SARS-CoV-2.
