The antigenic anatomy of SARS-CoV-2 receptor binding domain

The neutralizing monoclonal antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 spike protein mainly bind to receptor-binding domain and prevent the spike protein docking to hACE2, with an exception of antibody recognizing N-terminal domain, whose mechanism of neutralization is not clear. These monoclonal antibodies have been shown to be effective for the prevention of SARS-CoV-2 (Wuhan strain) infection to K-18 hACE2 transgenic mice when administered prophylactically or therapeutically.
