A tiny trouble caused a lethal damage

It happened today! A cable of my computer that is used for my deskwork broke down. By the incident, I could not use not only internet but also the computer itself. I have never experienced such kind of trouble. Only by this incident, my work was completely disrupted. A workman may come to me to deal with it tomorrow, whereas the service is not guaranteed. If my computer will not work tomorrow, how can I advance my study?
