ChAdOx1nCoV-19 vaccine prevents SARS-CoV-2 pneumonia in rhesus macaques

An adenovirus-vectored vaccine ChAdOx1nCoV-19 that encodes the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2 is efficient for the protection by the infection of SARS-CoV-2, which was evaluated by experiments using a rhesus macaque infection model. The vaccine is very useful to reduce the viral load in lower respiratory tract and pneumonia. No antibody-dependent enhancement of COVID -19 disease was reported in this vaccinated animals.
